The Karinga Creek Potash Joint Venture between Rum Jungle Resources Ltd and Reward Minerals Ltd includes six granted exploration licences for 2,310 km2 along the Lasseter Highway between Alice Springs and Uluru. The companies are exploring for sulfate of potash (SOP) and potassium magnesium sulfate (schoenite) in sub-surface lake brine in up to 26 dry salt lakes on pastoral leases adjacent to the Lasseter Highway.
